The Lunar New Year

On the 1st day of lunar new year, most family members get together.
 
And early in the morning they perform their memorial ceremony for their ancestors. We call it 차례 in Korean.
 
And they do a new year's bow to the elders of the family to wish them health and happiness in the coming year.
 
This is the most children's favorite event because they receive money, called 세배돈 after they bow.
 
And then they have folk games and activities, like kite flying,윷놀이 and things like that.
 
This is our new year day.
